3.B is the fifth album by Lines and Patterns. When I started Lines and Patterns at the beginning of 2020 it was my intention to produce fairly long-form works with little-to-no narrative drive. As the tracks for 'trailhead' and 'In Anticipation' started to take shape it became clear to me that I was more interested in making shorter works with more-defined formal structures. Still, there is something I quite enjoy in these earlier experiments, and it's been fun to revisit these works, dust them off a bit and add some sparkles here and there. This album, and in theory, those that follow with the 'number.letter' title will represent these works.
